Fostering
Second
only to finding a permanent home for each and every cat in the program,
fostering is one of the most important aspects of Abbey Cat Adoptions.
We do not have a shelter and rely exclusively on volunteer foster
homes to care for our cats while they await placement in permanent
homes. Every time a new foster place is created through adoption
or the recruitment of a new volunteer foster parent, a cat or kitten
can be rescued from being euthanized or dying of exposure.
From special needs cats who need to spend a few months
with experienced cat owners to healthy well socialized cats who
just need an emergency stopover while their adoption is being arranged,
ACA needs foster homes for every imaginable situation.
Please call (416)
284-2140 today and leave a detailed
message along with a daytime and evening telephone number if you
would like to foster. Your call will be returned within 24 hours.
We try to place cats in foster homes most appropriate
for their age, temperament and circumstances so we ask that all
potential foster parents fill out a questionnaire. To speed up the
process, fill out an online
application before or after you place your call to the main
line. Thank you!
