Hendrix came to Abbey Cats as one of the kittens taken in from an overcrowded northern shelter..
He came to me with 3 other siblings of the same age.

Hendrix is in the sweet spot, not too playful but also not a couch potato. Not too vocal, but he meows a little when he wants your attention.
He likes his food but doesn't eat as much or as fast as his brothers (Jasper and Dempsey) who were recently adopted.
From the group he is the one who play bites more often and harder. Hendrix enjoys being petted and climbing to your shoulder to try to bite your ear.

He is in a foster home consisting of his foster mom, her husband and their resident cat Maki (4 years old).
Due to covid, they are home all the time and are able to provide the kittens with a structured schedule that consists of food, play and snuggle time.

Hendrix could be a good cat for different types of homes.
Specifically, if there are kids at home the family will need to spend time to keep reinforcing and redirecting his play biting to toys because he can bite hard.

He doesn't do it aggressively but he just doesn't measure his strength.
This is a behaviour common in male kittens and can be easily trained.
For this reason until he learns his kitty manners we would not recommend he go to a family with young children
From the group he is not particularly bonded to any of his siblings, but he does need another kitten to romp and wrestle with, and he must go to a home with a sibling or to one where there is already a kitten of similar age for company.

This cat needs to be adopted with a cat in the program or have another cat at home

Ideally, Hendrix would love to be adopted with his sister Cleo

Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company. Any kittens over 6 months may need the company of another young cat.
