Ziggy is a charming 3-legged boy. He and his brother Marley were adopted as kittens and sadly for Ziggy he managed to get out of the house one day and got his leg caught in a leg trap in a neighbour's back yard and he lost his right paw. Now he is a beautiful bouncing cat, and a curious and enthusiastic play mate. He loves to play with cat toys, and will accept climbing challenges to strengthen his reduced dexterity. After watching him gleefully play in your home, you will quickly notice how often he forgets there is no paw. Plus - he knows how to stand on his hind legs and "beg" for treats!

Ziggy would do well with other pets that are shyer than he is, and is very warm to humans. He does not do well with dominant cats, since he can't run or fight back. Right now he should be kept on a diet to help his weight control, for his walking ability. He can be picked up and doesn't seem to mind belly rubs for a short time.

He would be happy as an only cat as he and his brother don't always see eye to eye and get into a hissing match with each other.

Ziggy would do well in a busy home, home with gentle/obedient dog, or children, because he is very kind and obviously likes to make friends. Like all cats he needs his boundaries to be respected.
